After graduating from the University of Edinburgh in 1987 with an MA in Linguistics with AI, I spend some time in industry in roles such as Head of Computer Services and Intranet Programme Manager. I joined Edinburgh Napier University in 2002 and where I achieved an MSc in Energy and Environmental Engineering and. a PhD in wind turbine performance. I was integral in the formation of GearedApp where I acted as non-executive director for seven years. I now focus my energy on Computational Sustainability.
